Lucian Vasilache
Lucian Vasilache (born December 4, 1954 in Podu Turcului ) is a former Romanian handball player . He played in the position of the circuit and in the left backcourt.
Vasilache played in Romania for Știința Bacău . For the Romanian national team , he played 51 international matches, in which he scored 46 goals. At the Supercup 1979 in Dortmund he was second with Romania. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, Vasilache won the bronze medal. The Romanian team was level on points with the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia after the group games, but came in second due to the goal difference, so that the final was missed. In the game for third place, they won against Hungary.
