Luciana Berger

Luciana Berger (born May 13, 1981 in London ) is a member of the British House of Commons and represents the constituency of Liverpool Wavertree .

Berger attended the University of Birmingham and Birbeck College and graduated from there.

She moved into the House of Commons for Labor and the Co-operative Party in 2010 , was re-elected in 2015 and formed the Independent Group along with six other Labor MPs in February 2019 in protest against the leadership style of Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn . After leaving the Independent Group in June 2019, she joined the Liberal Democrats in September 2019 . Shortly thereafter, Berger announced that she would run in the next House of Commons elections in the Finchley and Golders Green constituency in north London.

Berger is Jewish and has been married to a music manager since 2015, with whom she has a daughter who was born in 2017.
