Lucien Laurent-Gsell
Lucien Laurent-Gsell (born November 19, 1860 in Paris ; † 1944 there ) was a French painter of Swiss origin.
Live and act
Laurent-Gsell came from a family of artists. His father was the glass painter Gaspard Gsell , who ran the Laurent & Gsell company in Montmartre , and his grandfather was the lithographer Jakob Laurenz Gsell . The glass and church painter Albert Gsell was his brother.
Laurent-Gsell received his first artistic lessons from his father. With his support he was later accepted at the École des Beaux-Arts and u. a. Taught by Alexandre Cabanel and Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres .
At the age of 84, Lucien Laurent-Gsell died in Paris and found his final resting place there.
