Lucien Vidie
Lucien Vidie (* 1805 in Nantes ; † April 1866 there ) was a French engineer and inventor. Lucien Vidie is the inventor of the aneroid barometer . After him, the aneroid cans have also become known as Vidie cans. Such a can is hermetically sealed. Your lid bulges inwards or outwards depending on the air pressure .
The steam engine engineer Vidie patented his invention of the aneroid can in 1844 in the name of his friend Pierre Armand Lecomte de Fontainmoreau, owner of a patent office in Paris and London.
