Lucius Caecilius Metellus († 68 BC) was a politician of the late Roman Republic .
Lucius Caecilius Metellus was a son of Gaius Caecilius Metellus Caprarius and the brother of Quintus Caecilius Metellus Creticus . In 71 BC Chr. Was Metellus Praetor and the following year as the successor of Verres propraetor in Sicily . 68 BC He was consul with Quintus Marcius Rex . He died early in his year in office.
