Lucius Caninius Gallus (Consul 37 BC)
Lucius Caninius Gallus was a Roman senator of the late republic .
Caninius Gallus came from the plebeian family of the Caninii , who lived in the 2nd century BC. In the Senate. His father of the same name was a tribune in 56 BC. And known to Cicero . Caninius Gallus was born in 37 BC. Chr. Consul , with Marcus Agrippa Vipsanius , a confidant of the triumvir Octavian, later Augustus . Nothing is known about his other career.
The suffect consul of the same name of the year 2 BC BC was probably his son or grandson.
