Lucius Cornelius Lentulus Caudinus (Consul 275 BC)
Lucius Cornelius Lentulus Caudinus was a Roman senator , politician, and military officer.
Lucius Cornelius Lentulus Caudinus belonged to the branch of the Lentuli of the Cornelier family . Lentulus was 275 BC. At the side of Manius Curius Dentatus consul . While he was fighting against Pyrrhus , Lentulus successfully fought against the Samnites . For this success he was awarded a triumph and was nicknamed Caudinus . He passed this nickname on to his descendants. His sons Lucius Cornelius Lentulus Caudinus and Publius Cornelius Lentulus Caudinus were also Roman consuls.
