Lucky Strikes Back was an Austrian pop band from Salzburg that existed from 2007 to 2015 .
Band history
The band around singer Dominiqueschichtle first attracted attention in 2008 when they were one of ten bands to reach the finals of the International Live Awards . This was followed by appearances as support for well-known artists and at events such as the Frequency Festival . In 2010 they released their debut album So sucht's aus aus , which did not bring them the breakthrough yet. This was followed by line-up changes in the six to eight-member band and further appearances, for example at Nova Rock and the Danube Island Festival . The year 2012 was very successful, in which Lucky Strikes Back was voted Band of the Year in the audience vote of the music broadcaster gotv and received the Austrian Live Award . The following year they made it into the Austrian charts for the first time with the single Wir sind wie wir sind . Their next chart success was with the single Tanz Mit Mir . For the first time there was a collaboration with the copywriter and slam poet Lukas Wagner , who took part in the creation of the text. The song was in the Austrian charts for four weeks.
