Luderhaus

The term Luderhaus is derived from the original meaning of the term Luder ; an animal carcass that served as a lure for predatory and feathered game. Later, Luder was also used for women who want to attract attention through the use of their physical stimuli.

With Luder house different species were very considered by buildings:

  1. A hunting lodge (mostly multi-story) for hunting and observing predatory and feathered game at Luderplatz . A synonym for this is Luderhütte .
  2. A dog pen in which animal carcasses (sluts) were fed to dogs (hunting dogs).
  3. The living and working building of a skinner . Other synonyms are Luderhütte, Fallhaus , Schindhütte , Wasenmeisterhäusl or Wasenhäusl . The land on which the animal remains were buried were then mostly called Luderacker .
  4. A brothel .
