Ludwig Brocker

Ludwig Bröcker (born July 29, 1940 ) is a German mathematician and university professor.

Life

Bröcker, son of Walter Bröcker, studied mathematics and physics at the Universities of Kiel and Grenoble from 1961. In 1968 he received his doctorate from Friedrich Bachmann in Kiel (on the structure of orthogonal groups over evaluated bodies), and he completed his habilitation in 1972 (kinematic spaces). In 1975 he became professor of mathematics at the University of Münster . His main areas of work are: geometric algebra and quadratic forms, real algebraic geometry, integral geometry.

Theodor and Johannes Bröcker are his brothers, Eva-Bettina Bröcker his wife.
