Ludwig Fahrnberger

Ludwig Fahrnberger (born June 23, 1904 in Göstling an der Ybbs ; † January 31, 1997 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer . Fahrnberger was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1959 to 1969 .

After elementary school, Fahrnberger attended the mountain farming school Gaming and worked as a farmer on his parents' farm in Stixenlehen near Göstling until 1937. Fahrnberger was awarded the professional title of Economics Council. He did military service from 1943 and was taken prisoner by the British, from which he did not return until 1946. After the Second World War, Fahrnberger was active as a local councilor in Göstling from 1948 to 1970, and from 1950 to 1965 he also held the office of Vice Mayor. Fahrnberger was also district chamber chairman between 1957 and 1972 and held various functions in agricultural organizations. Between June 4, 1959 and November 20, 1969, he represented the ÖVP in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
