Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm Kaufmann (born March 14, 1805 in Hamburg , † February 27, 1880 there ) was a Hamburg master watchmaker and member of parliament.

Life

From 1852 until the introduction of the Hamburg Trade Act on February 1, 1865, Kaufmann was a senior in the small watchmaker's brotherhood . He was elected as a substitute for the Hamburg Constituent Assembly, was also called up, but declared that under the given circumstances and regulations he could not enter and asked for his dismissal. Since he did not appear to take the oath, he was released. He was a member of the Hamburg parliament from 1859 to February 1, 1865. The reason for this was a transitional provision according to which some members of the hereditary citizenry were elected from among the elderly of the guild trade. Kaufmann was a member of the citizens' committee from 1862 to 1865.
