Ludwig Gamp
Ludwig Gamp also Gampp (* 1856 in Tiengen ; † May 23, 1910 in Munich ) was a sculptor.
Life
From 1873 to 1879 he studied at the Munich Art Academy with Max von Widnmann , later he worked for some time with Rudolf Maison and Hermann Volz in Karlsruhe. In Munich he became known for various genre figures, tombs, busts, statues for buildings, including a noble, naturalistic Christ on the cross outside the choir of St. Paul in Munich. In Tiengen there is his war memorial, inaugurated in 1899.
