Ludwig Gebhard (musician)
Ludwig Gebhard (born March 7, 1907 in Dinkelsbühl ; † August 9, 1993 in Nuremberg ) was a German church musician , composer and music teacher who worked in the Franconian region.
Gebhard studied composition from 1933 to 1935 at the Musikhochschule in Munich with Joseph Haas . From 1935 to 1939 he worked as a primary school teacher. After the war he taught as a teacher at the women's college in Nuremberg. Until his retirement he headed the municipal singing school in Nuremberg, which he expanded into a music school. After his retirement he was chairman of the Association of Bavarian Singing and Music Schools until 1980.
His brothers Max and Hans Gebhard were also active as musicians.
