Ludwig Geraldy

Ludwig Geraldy (born February 3, 1887 in Saarwellingen ; † March 14, 1953 ) was a German or Saarland politician of the Christian People's Party of Saarland .

Geraldy completed his apprenticeship in administration and then worked there, most recently as a district auditor in Saarwellingen. He was also politically active in his home community. In 1946 he took over the post of First Alderman and Chairman of the Administrative Council of the Saarwellingen District , and also joined the CVP. In the state election in 1947 , he initially missed entry into the state parliament , but was allowed to move up on November 25, 1947 for the retired Paul Schütz . In the state elections in 1952 his mandate was confirmed, in the state parliament he now took over the chairmanship of the committees for rules of procedure and election review. In 1953 he took on as a member of the delegationParis participated in the negotiations on the Saar Convention, the General Convention between the Saarland and France. In February he had to return due to illness, and he died a little later. Franz Gier took over his mandate in the state parliament .

A street and a primary school in Saarwellingen were named after him.
