Ludwig Hartmann (politician, 1836)

Ludwig Hartmann (born May 29, 1836 ; † March 24, 1896 in Hagenau , Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine ) was a German manufacturer , landowner , politician and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hartmann attended grammar school in Thann and did his studies as a technician and engineer at several large mechanical engineering establishments, then in cotton spinning and weaving mills. He became director of such a factory in Haguenau, where he also became a city councilor.

From 1874 to 1877 he was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Alsace-Lorraine (Hagenau, Weißenburg ) and, as an independent clerical, did not join any parliamentary group.
