Ludwig Maurer (cook)

Ludwig Maurer , also Lucki Maurer, (born November 14, 1980 ) is a German cook, cookbook author and breeder of organic Wagyū cattle .

Life

Ludwig Maurer grew up as the son of a family of restaurateurs and hosts in the Bavarian Forest . The family still runs the Hotel Waldschlößl in Neukirchen bei Heiligen Blut . Maurer lives with his wife Stephanie in Rattenberg (Lower Bavaria) , where the headquarters of his catering company and organic Wagyū cattle breeding are also located.

Ludwig Maurer began his apprenticeship as a cook in 1996. This was followed by training as a hotel manager and a state examination to become a master chef. From 2003, Maurer worked for Stefan Marquard for over 10 years . Today he runs the catering company "Ludwig Maurer's MEATing Point".

In 2008 Maurer founded Europe's first organic Wagyū cattle breed. The breed includes about 60 animals.
