Ludwig Niklaus von Stürler (born February 13, 1784 in Thun ; † December 28, 1825 in Saint Petersburg ) was the Bernese building authority clerk and officer in Russia.

Ludwig Niklaus von Stürler was born as the son of Karl Emanuel Stürler, the Little Council, and Margrith Salome Wolf. After getting into financial debt, he traveled to Russia in 1809. Based on a recommendation from Countess Anne Marie de Moustier born in Bern. von Wyttenbach (1762–1820) he was able to join the bodyguard regiment. He distinguished himself as a captain in the Battle of Kulm in 1813 , for which he was awarded the Order of Vladimir and the Order of St. Anna . He was also a bearer of the Order of St. George, 4th class . In 1819 he married Maria Helene von Salza , became a wing adjutant to the later Tsar Nicholas I and was promoted to commandant of the Leibgardegrenadier regiment. Stürler died during the Decembrist uprising in 1825.
