Ludwig Rohden

Ludwig Rohden (born October 24, 1838 in Hovestadt , † April 23, 1887 in Gardone Riviera ) was a German physician and spa doctor .

Life

Rohden studied medicine at the universities of Berlin and Würzburg . In Würzburg he became a member of Corps Moenania in 1861 . After his doctorate as Dr. med. he worked as a well doctor in Lippspringe for many years from 1862 . Then he went to Arco . In the winter months he practiced in Gardone Riviera . From 1886 to 1887 he headed the newly built hospice by the Association for Children's Health Centers on Norderney .

Rohden was considered an excellent phthisiotherapist . In a sensational argument with Peter Dettweiler , he advocated open treatment of tuberculosis. He worked on the textbook on balneotherapy published by Julius Braun in 1869 and 1873 in the second and third editions .
