Christopher Spring

Christopher Spring (* 1951 in London ) is a British painter, author and curator for African art .

Christopher Spring acquired the title Master of Arts at Brasenose College of the University of Oxford . He also attended the Heatherley School of Fine Art in London . Since 1987 he has been curator of the Africa Collection at the British Museum . His focus there is the contemporary art of Africa. As an author he devoted himself to various aspects of African art, including textiles but also historical weapons .
