Ludwig Salomon Hennefuss

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ludwig Salomon Hennefuß (* around 1739 ; † November 29, 1819 in Berlin ) was an organ and instrument builder in Berlin.

Life

The name suggests a Jewish origin. Ludwig Salomon Hennefuß worked as a musical instrument maker in Berlin from 1770 . In 1812 he lived at Frankfurter Strasse 57. He was buried in the St. Georgen cemetery. His widow lived at Landsberger Strasse 18 in 1822.

The son Johann Ludwig Bernhard Hennefuss was also an instrument maker. One of his clavichords is in the Musikinstrumentenmuseum Berlin (No. 959). In 1835 he owned the house at Frankfurter Strasse 80.
