Ludwig Stern (politician)
Caspar Heinrich Ludwig Stern (born February 2, 1778 in Kassel ; † February 15, 1828 there ) was mayor of Kassel.
Life
Stern was the son of the reserve commissioner in Bovenden Christian Stern. He married Sophie Marie Friedericke Steinbach (1783–1864), the daughter of the Privy Councilor Heinrich Steinbach (1754–1848), in Kassel in March 1816. The marriage produced a son. Stern studied law in Marburg from April 20, 1793 and in Göttingen from March 16, 1796. He was mayor of Kassel from 1814 to 1821 and then city court director. In 1815/16 he was city deputy in the state parliament and after 1816 a member of the state committee.
