Ludwig Zöller (geographer)

Ludwig Zöller (born May 11, 1953 in Kirchen (Sieg) ) is a German geographer . Until 2018 he was professor at the chair for geomorphology at the University of Bayreuth .

Career

Zöller studied political science and geography at the University of Trier . After completing his doctorate and working as an assistant at Saarland University , he went to the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg . In 1995 he completed his habilitation in geography at the Faculty of Geosciences at Heidelberg University . In 1997 he took over a professorship for physical geography at the University of Bonn . From March 1, 2002 to 2018, Zöller held the Chair of Geomorphology in Bayreuth.
