Ludwig von Burgsdorff

Carl Ludwig Gottlob von Burgsdorff (born June 11, 1812 in Dresden , † September 18, 1875 in Karlsbad ) was a German administrative officer. He was from 1853 to 1855 police director in Dresden and, since 1855 district director and since 1874 District Chief of Leipzig . He also worked as a university representative.

Life

Ludwig von Burgsdorff came from the old Brandenburg noble family von Burgsdorff . His parents were the royal Saxon court and finance councilor Ludwig Christoph von Burgsdorff (* July 19, 1774 - October 25, 1828) and his wife Charlotte, born von der Lochau (* June 23, 1784; † May 12, 1863) .

On October 6, 1846, Ludwig von Burgsdorff married Sophie von Undritz (1826–1879) in Dresden. The marriage had three children:

  • Margarete Elisabeth (* February 14, 1848) ⚭ Hans von Schütz († March 31, 1879)
  • Curt Ludwig Franz von Burgsdorff (1849–1922). District chief ⚭ Hildegard Therese Weigel (born September 2, 1855)
  • Maria Sophie Anna (born December 9, 1863)
