Ludwig von Heyl zu Herrnsheim (industrialist, 1920)
Gebhard Bernhard Ludwig Cornelius Wilhelm Max Freiherr von Heyl zu Herrnsheim (born May 18, 1920 in Worms ; † July 27, 2010 there ) was a German industrialist .
Live and act
Heyl zu Herrnsheim last took part as first lieutenant in World War II and was highly decorated. He had to be amputated on one side of his leg after a serious wound.
Heyl, son of Ludwig von Heyl zu Herrnsheim , was a co-founder of the “Reconstruction Association” in Worms and was a member of the city council for the CDU . From 1951 to 1974 he was the last owner of “Heylschen Lederwerke Liebenau AG Worms”. Heyl was chairman of the Heylshof board of trustees , member of the Rotary Club and legal knight of the Order of St. John .
With his wife Gisela, née Greiser (1923–2011), he had numerous offspring. The couple had lived at Gut Nonnenhof in Bobenheim with their son Ludwig and his family since 2006 .
