Lufthavnen station ( Danish airport ) is a station of the Copenhagen Metro in Kastrup . The station was opened on September 28, 2007 for the newly built subway section Lufthavnen-Lergravsparken and is the terminus of line M2. The station was built as an elevated railway and is partly located directly above the Öresund Railway Bypass (a section of the Öresund Railway that enables freight trains to bypass the Københavns Lufthavn, Kastrup underground station ).
There are transfer options to various bus lines, to airport terminal 3 and to the long-distance train station Københavns Lufthavn, Kastrup , which is located in the tunnel below the terminal.
