Luganda (also: Ganda ) is the African common Southern Uganda Bantu language that the people of the Baganda in the Kingdom of Buganda is spoken (central Uganda).
There she plays an important role in radio , the press and primary school education. At the end of the 19th century it was written using the Latin alphabet . In 1947 the Luganda standard orthography was made binding at the All-Baganda Conference. Next to English, Luganda is most commonly spoken in Buganda. Luganda is taught in elementary and secondary schools as well as at Makerere University in Kampala.
