Luigi Albanesi

Luigi Albanesi (born March 3, 1821 in Rome , † December 4, 1897 in Naples ) was an Italian composer, pianist and piano teacher.

Albanesi was born in Rome as the son of an artist. First he learned to paint like his father. When the family moved to Naples, Albanesi occupied himself with composition and playing the piano. He composed masses, motets, oratorios and piano works. However, he mainly worked as a piano teacher.

Albanesi is the father of the composer Carlo Albanesi .
