Luigi Rovati

Luigi Rovati (* 24. November 1904 in Cinisello Balsamo , † 8. March 1989 ) was an Italian boxer in the heavyweight division and silver medalist at the Summer Olympics in 1932 from Los Angeles .

In May 1932 he won the 4-Nations Tournament in Berlin and started in August at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where he entered the semi-finals after two byes and there defeated the American Frederick Feary on points. In the final fight he was defeated by the Argentine Santiago Lovell on points and thus reached 2nd place in the heavyweight division with just one win.

From 1933 to 1937 he played four professional fights in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. He lost the last of these fights by knockout in the first round against Adolf Witt .
