Luis Antonio Álvarez Murillo (born April 13, 1991 in Mexicali ) is a Mexican archer.

Career

Álvarez won his first international tournament in June 2008 with the Copa Juan Enrique Barrios in Salinas (Puerto Rico). In spring 2012, he finished fifth in the singles at the Arizona Cup in Phoenix (USA) and second in the team competition with the Mexican team. The greatest success of his career so far was the victory at the World Cup event in Ogden on June 18, 2012, which also served as the final qualifying tournament for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. There he competes in both individual and team competitions. After winning in Ogden, he reached 13th place, his highest ranking in the world to date.

He is a student and trains with the Robin Hood Archery club under the South Korean coaches San Hyun Lee and Lee Wong.
