Yves François Patenôtre (born January 23, 1940 in Troyes ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and emeritus Archbishop of Sens and emeritus prelate of the Mission de France o Pontigny .

Life

Yves François Patenôtre was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Troyes on June 29, 1965 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Saint-Claude on December 1, 1994 . He received his episcopal ordination on March 15th of the same year by the former bishop of Saint-Claude, Gilbert-Antoine Duchêne ; Co- consecrators were Gérard Antoine Léopold Daucourt , Bishop of Troyes , and André Pierre Louis Marie Fauchet , Bishop Emeritus of Troyes. As a motto he chose Servus per Jesus .

On July 30, 2004 he was appointed Coadjutor Archbishop of Sens and Coadjutor Prelate of the Mission de France o Pontigny , and on August 29 of the same year he was appointed to the office. After Georges Gilson's retirement he succeeded him on December 31, 2004 as Archbishop of Sens and Prelate of the Mission de France o Pontigny.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on March 5, 2015.
