Hervé Jean Robert Giraud (born February 26, 1957 in Tournon-sur-Rhône , France ) is a French clergyman, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Sens and prelate of the Mission de France o Pontigny .

Life

Hervé Giraud received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Viviers on September 24, 1985 through the Bishop of Viviers, Jean Hermil .

On 15 April 2003 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Silli and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Lyon . The Archbishop of Lyon, Philippe Barbarin , donated him episcopal ordination on May 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Le Mans , Jacques Faivre , and the Bishop of Viviers, François Blondel .

On November 13, 2007 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to Coadjutor Bishop of Soissons. Hervé Giraud became Bishop of Soissons on February 22, 2008, succeeding Marcel Herriot , who resigned due to illness .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Sens and Prelate of the Mission de France on March 5, 2015 . The inauguration took place on April 19 of the same year.
