Luis Carlos Florès

Luis Carlos Florès (born October 28, 1950 ) is a former Brazilian cyclist.

Athletic career

Florès became known as a cyclist in road racing . Already at the age of eighteen he celebrated his greatest sporting success when he took second place at the road world championships in 1968 in Montevideo, South America, in the individual race of the amateurs at the same time as the world champion Vittorio Marcelli . He also achieved second place in the 1971 street singles at the Pan American Games in Cali , Colombia . In 1972, the 1.70 m tall Florès competed in the individual street race at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , but retired early.
