Luis Felipe Gamio

Luis Felipe Gamio (* 1902 or 1903 ; † 1990 ) was a Uruguayan politician and doctor .

The ophthalmologist and surgeon, who came from a Basque family, belonged to the Partido Nacional . He sat as a deputy member of the Cerro Largo Department in the 40th legislative period from September 4 to October 18, 1968 and from August 5 to September 19, 1970 in the Cámara de Representantes . He was married to Paulina Silva (née Míñope Hoyos) and they had 2 children together. He died in 1990 at the age of 87. At the session of the Uruguayan Senate on March 7, 1990, he was commemorated in addresses by Senators Silveira Zavala and Pereyra .
