Luis Hernández (athlete)

Luis Hernández (born February 13, 1955 ) is a retired Mexican long-distance runner .

In 1975 he won the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships over 5000 m . At the Pan American Games in Mexico City , he triumphed over 10,000 m and was fourth over 5000 m.

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he was eliminated over 5000 m and 10,000 m in the run.

In 1978 he won bronze over 10,000 m at the Central America and Caribbean Games .

In 1977 he was starting NCAA indoor champion over three miles for Brigham Young University .
