Luis Hierro López

Luis Hierro López (born January 6, 1947 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan politician .

Hierro López was born in Montevideo as the son of the former chamber president and former education and culture minister Luis Hierro Gambardella . He belongs to the Partido Colorado and was a member of the House of Representatives from 1984. There he was president of the Cámara de Representantes from March 1, 1989 to February 15, 1990 . He later headed the Ministry of the Interior of Uruguay for a few months (February 2, 1998 to October 9, 1998). After all, he held the office of President of the Senate from March 1, 2000 to February 15, 2005, making him Vice-President of Uruguay.
