Luis Johnson
Luis Johnson Valor (born March 21, 1887 in Santiago de Chile , † June 8, 1929 there ) was a Chilean painter .
Johnson took lessons from Alberto Valenzuela Llanos and Juan Francisco González and was a student of Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor . He is counted among the painters of the Generación del Trece . In 1918 he was a founding member of the Sociedad Nacional de Bellas Artes , whose secretary and finally director he became. The society honored him with a retrospective in 1949. The paintings Rincón de mi Jardín and Portón Colonial are owned by the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes .
