Luis Luna Barragán (born January 28, 1920 in El Salto , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican football player . At the beginning of his career, Luna was used in attacking midfield , but was soon called up in the attack line because of his goal danger .

career

Luna, who has played for León FC since the 1946/47 season, is the only player from the club's first successful era to have participated in all four championship titles the Esmeraldas won in 1948, 1949, 1952 and 1956. He also won the Copa México twice with the club from León : in 1949 and 1958.

Between 1949 and 1952 Luna completed five international appearances for the Mexican national team and scored one goal each in his first two internationals as part of the World Cup qualification for 1950 ; In his first international match on September 4, 1949, he managed the 2-0 intermediate result in the 30th minute to the later 6-0 win against the USA and on September 11, 1949 he scored the opening goal in the 26th minute to 1: 0 in a 2-0 win against Cuba. He played his other international appearances in March and April 1952 against Chile (0: 4), Brazil (0: 2) and Panama (4: 2).
