Luis Méndez (boxer)

Luis Méndez , full name Luis Hugo Méndez Pintos (born December 1, 1969 ) is a former Uruguayan boxer .

The 1.76 meter tall Méndez was in the squad of the Uruguayan team for the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona after qualifying for the Games in March 1992 at the Torneo Preolímpico Suramericano . There the Uruguayan, trained by Robert Leyva , started in the middleweight division and finished in 17th place after losing in his fight against the Chilean Ricardo Araneda .
