Uruguay took part in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona , Spain , with a delegation of 16 athletes (all men).
The Uruguayan delegation was chaired by Julio C. Maglione . As at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Ruben Orozco was Chef de Mission . Eduardo Rienzi acted as the delegation's doctor, the former swimmer Susana Saxlund acted as the delegation's secretary . In addition to the 16 participating athletes, six other athletes who participated in the Olympic pelota competition formed the Uruguayan team.
Flag bearer
The sailor Ricardo Fabini carried the Uruguayan flag during the opening ceremony.
