Morocco took part in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona with a delegation of 44 athletes (43 men and one woman) in 24 competitions in seven sports. The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the former shot putter Lahcen Samsam Akka .

Both athletes were originally supposed to compete in men's doubles, but withdrew before the first round after Alami had to give up in the third set in the first round match against the Swiss Marc Rosset , the eventual winner of the tournament. Your opponents would have been Boris Becker and Michael Stich , who also won the gold medal. El Aynaoui met Boris Becker in the second round of the individual tournament and lost in four sets.
