Luise Juliane from the Palatinate
Luise Juliane von der Pfalz (born July 16, 1594 in Heidelberg ; died April 28, 1640 in Meisenheim ) was a princess from the Electoral Palatinate .
Life
She was the daughter of Elector Friedrich IV of the Palatinate and Luise Juliana of Oranien-Nassau and the sister of Friedrich V.
At the request of her brother Friedrich V, she married Johann II von Pfalz-Zweibrücken , Elector from 1591 to 1635, whose wife Catherine de Rohan had died in 1607. The wedding took place in Heidelberg in 1612 .
The marriage had seven children:
- Elisabeth Louise Juliane von Pfalz-Zweibrücken (1613–1667), princess abbess in Herford
- Katharina Charlotte von Pfalz-Zweibrücken (1615–1651), married in 1631 to the Count Palatine Wolfgang Wilhelm von Pfalz-Neuburg
- Friedrich von Pfalz-Zweibrücken (1616–1661), Count Palatine and Duke of Pfalz-Zweibrücken
- Anna Sibylle of Pfalz-Zweibrücken (1617–1641)
- Johann Ludwig von Pfalz-Zweibrücken-Veldenz (1619–1647)
- Juliane Magdalena von Pfalz-Zweibrücken (1621–1672), married to Duke Friedrich Ludwig (Pfalz-Zweibrücken-Landsberg)
- Maria Amalie of Pfalz-Zweibrücken (1622–1641)
