Luise Krüger (born January 11, 1915 in Dresden ; † June 13, 2001 in Dresden ) was a German athlete and Olympic medalist who was one of the world's best javelin throwers in the 1930s . Her greatest success was the silver medal at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin (40.78 - 39.24 - 43.29 m - 40.69 - 37.94 - 42.96).

Third place was achieved at the Women's World Games in 1930 (40.10 m) and at the European Athletics Championships in 1938 (42.49 m).

She was German champion in 1934 in the javelin throw and in 1941 and 1942 in the pentathlon .

Luise Krüger started for the Dresdner SC . In her playing days she was 1.66 m tall and 54 kg. In the 1950s she was a sports teacher at the Technical University of Dresden , where she led the later Olympic third and long jump world record holder Hildrun Claus to the GDR championship title and the GDR record.
