Luise Max-Ehrler
Luise Max-Ehrler (* 1850 in Florence , † 1920 in Aigen ) was an Austrian portrait painter .
Louise Ehler, daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Ehrler von Erlenburg, came to Prague in 1864 , where she began her painting lessons with Lauffer. She then studied with Joseph Flüggen in Munich . She married the painter Heinrich Max in Munich in 1877 . She continued her painting studies in Vienna with Hans Makart .
After graduating, she lived with her husband in Munich and then moved on to Aigen near Salzburg.
Her works show an influence of Hans Makart's history painting.
