Lukáš Brož (born October 23, 1985 in Jablonec nad Nisou ) is a Czech luge rider .

Career

Lukáš Brož is a student and lives in Smržovka . He has been tobogganing since 1993 and has been a member of the national team since 2000. He forms a two-seater with his younger brother Antonín Brož . In the 2004/05 season , the double debuted in the World Cup, where it finally finished 24th in the overall standings. In the following years the Brož brothers achieved consistent results between the ranks ten and twenty; At the World Championships in 2009 and the European Championships in 2010 , they were both placed in twelfth position, which is their best results at major events to date (as of 2011). In February 2006, the duo took part in the Olympic Games in Turin . After two runs, the doubles came in 16th place out of 18 duos that had finished. Four years later, the Brož brothers failed to qualify for the Olympics again, and in their place Luboš Jíra and Matěj Kvíčala competed in Vancouver.

Until 2008, Lukáš Brož also started in the single-seater, where he could not establish himself in the top 20. The best result at a major event was 24th place at the 2006 European Championships; in the overall World Cup he achieved placements between positions 42 and 63.
