Lukoran is a place on the island of Ugljan ( Croatia ).
Location and inhabitants
Lukoran is located northwest of Preko across from Zadar . In 2011, 503 people lived in the village. The economic basis is agriculture, viticulture, olive tree plantations, fishing and tourism. Veli Lukoran is a place with numerous bays and beaches, which are surrounded by an old pine forest.
Attractions
There are several country houses, the most famous being the 17th century country house of the de Ponte family.
According to legend, the famous Croatian guardian song Zora puca (Before sunrise) by the poet Petar Preradović was written in Lukoran.
