Lumine effect

Luminous effect as an illustration

The luminescent effect describes the optical interaction of the tooth in daylight (yellowish) and in artificial light (reddish).

The UV rays contained in daylight stimulate not only red and yellow but also fluorescent green,

  • green and red complement each other to form white (complementary colors)
  • white and yellow give the tooth the yellowish appearance in daylight.

There are no UV rays in artificial light . Therefore only yellow and red are reflected - the tooth appears reddish.
