Lunatic is a French hip-hop duo from the Hauts-de-Seine department . Its members, Booba ( Boulogne-Billancourt ) and Ali ( Issy-les-Moulineaux ) made their debut with the single Le crime paie from the sampler Hostile hip hop . In their song, the two rappers describe the problems in the suburbs ( banlieues ).
Their only album together, Mauvais œil , came out in 2000.
The group split in 2002. Booba's first solo album Temps Mort was released in 2002. Ali released his first solo album Chaos et harmonie in 2005.
The Black Album Lunatic containing unreleased tracks and the first versions of the songs came on the market of 2006.
