Uwe H. Brückmann (born February 23, 1960 in Walburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

education and profession

After completing commercial training as an industrial clerk from 1976 to 1979, Uwe Brückmann graduated from college in business / administration in 1980. The two-year commitment to the Bundeswehr and training as a reserve officer (1980–1982) was followed by a degree in economics, social and administrative sciences at the University of Kassel and at the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences from 1982 to 1986 (degree: Diplomverwaltungswirt (FH)) .

From 1983 to 1994 and from 1995 to 1998 he was an employee of the LWV Hessen, u. a. as a personal advisor to the First Alderman. Between 2000 and 2003 he studied public management at the University of Kassel with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree.

For 16 years (1981–1997 and from 2016) Brückmann was a member of the city ​​council of Hessisch Lichtenau and worked there as parliamentary group chairman. From 1985 he was also a member of the Werra-Meißner district council and has been chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group there since 1989.

Brückmann has held a large number of offices in the CDU. Among other things, he was district chairman of the CDU of the Werra-Meißner district from 1994 to 2006 and from 1997 deputy district chairman of the CDU Kurhessen-Waldeck.

In the period from 1994 to 1995 and again from 1998 to 1999 Brückmann was a successor member of the Hessian state parliament . The re-election in 1999 in the Hessian state parliament took place via the state list. Winning the direct mandate in the Eschwege-Witzenhausen constituency in the re-election in 2003 was spectacular . Until Brückmann's election, the constituency was considered a safe constituency of the SPD . In the parliamentary group he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group and social policy spokesman. His successor in parliament was Dirk Landau .

From 2001 Brückmann was able to build on his time at the LWV. From 2001 to 2003 he was a member of the association assembly of the LWV Hessen and from 2003 to 2005 first alderman and treasurer of the LWV Hessen.

On July 6, 2005, he was elected State Director of the State Welfare Association of Hesse and, after his re-election, held this position until April 2018.
