Luo Qinshun

Luo Qinshun ( 罗钦顺 ; born 1465 ; d. 1547 ) was a Chinese philosopher of Neoconfucianism during the time the Ming Dynasty .

Luo Qinshun dealt with a connection between Buddhist philosophy and traditional Chinese philosophy and the relationship between Qi (氣) and Li (理). Contrary to other neo-Confucian philosophers of his time such as Wang Shouren , Luo did not start from a duality of terms. His main work was translated into English by Irene Bloom in 1987 as Knowledge Painfully Acquired .
